At Optimal Intake I believe that the Non-Diet Approach is the most compassionate and effective way to support individuals on their journey to recovery from eating disorders or disordered eating.
It’s about creating a healthy relationship with food, eating and your body and learning to trust yourself again.
I am here to help share that journey with you.
I have gathered over 25 years of dietetic experience and use this knowledge to provide a supportive and collaborative partnership to all my clients.
I am a highly experienced dietitian having worked within inpatient, day program, and private practice settings offering all aspects of eating disorder treatment.
It is always a privilege to be part of my clients’ stories and experiences and I can offer you a non-judgmental and collaborative approach to recovery.
I welcome people from all walks of life, and also offer services for clients who don’t fit into any diagnostic criteria.
If you feel that food and thoughts around food rules your life and you want to stop dieting, I can work with you to rebuild and learn how to trust your body’s signals again. I have followed an incredible journey of learning and undertaken extensive research into adopting a non-diet approach and I’m committed to working within a Health at Every Size® framework and I’m proud to be a non-diet dietitian offering size-inclusive care.
When I’m not at work you will likely find me swimming at the beach, walking with my “Therapy hound” Polly-the-Greyhound or relaxing with a coffee at one of my favourite cafes in Fremantle.
I have worked across a diverse range of practice areas and client populations, including the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra; North and East Metro public health; Hollywood Private Hospital, along with research and university lecturing.
I established my Perth-based Nutrition business (Optimal Intake) in 2000 and work from a beautiful office space in South Fremantle.

The logo for Optimal Intake has significant meaning to me.
The Oak Tree is a powerful symbol in the UK and represents my link back to my country of birth.
The oak tree represents resilience and growth, mirroring the journey of eating disorder recovery.
Just as the tree withstands storms and sheds old leaves, individuals facing an eating disorder build strength, let go of harmful patterns, and flourish with time and support.
